My Wife and I were down
in charlotte NC at a compUSA store. At that time I was a senior in
college and she was getting her masters degree. We stood in the store for
an hour waiting for someone to help us with purchasing a laptop and finally
I gave up and went to the service desk. I was about 21 years old
and when I got to the service desk I was greeted by a fat employee who
said "Yeah what". In response to that I asked him if he could help me in
purchasing a laptop. He abruptley told me that I had to talk to the
service manager. When I was leaving the service desk the fat employee
was approached by an older customer and then compUSA employee joyfully
said, "How can I assist you today sir". I then found manager and talked
to him about what had happened and all he did was point to the fiancing
desk. It took 10 miniutes for our credit to be aproved for a 3k purchase
of a new laptop, and when the manager found out we were approved so quickly
he jump forth and said, "If you have any questions I'll be happy to help
you". I told him to stuff it and walked right out. Another
thing I found out when I got into the real world, my company bought a couple
of pc from compUSA and to get it work with ORACLE and Windows NT We had
to replace the memory, the video card and the network card. One or even
two of those PC's Can't even get Windows NT loaded on it.
