STILL Waiting For Repairs On Brnad New Machine

A nice little story about the computer giant. It all started in April when i bought i HP from Compusa. I paid alot of money for it and i was also hard sold on an extended warranty. Well, as you know the employees make a bonus if they sell an extended warranty.

Well my computer started freezing up soon after i bought it, I could not reset or control-Alt-Detete
either. So i call tech support to have someone come out and look at it.  Well they have go through all these tests and finally they say we can't determine if it's hardware or software and the warranty does not cover software problems so there is nothing we can do.

So i call a local store and they say the only way to determine if it is hardware is to do i complete restore back to factory settings. I went ahead and did that erasing everything on my drives. Well before i even put programs back on it still froze up.

I called tech support back, and was on hold for 45 min before someone helped me. I told them what i
did and they made me go though all the tests again. I told them I did a restore and it still happened. After about 45 min. of getting information from me she said " ok we can send someone out, i
will transfer you to the red team which schedules the calls. I waited 2 1/2 hours on hold and finally gave up. I called back a few days later and waited another hour for help.

She finally scheduled me and said someone will call me within 48 hours to schedule the appointment. Well after 10 days nobody  called me. So i called the store manager where i bought the computer. He gave me the number of the person in Mesa the goes on the calls. He said i should have been called, but the call was sent to Ann Arbor, Michigan.  Then he proceeded to tell me the part was on backorder. Well that was almost 2 weeks ago.

Compusa will hard sell you a warranty and then make it so hard to use it that you will get fed up and deal with it.

I will never buy another product from Compusa.
