I have a compaq presario also bought it in 2000.I'v had nothing but trouble with it.first it would crash every other week.then after taking it back to best buy,and finally getting it back it shits on me again.first time it went out to there repair shop it was the modem.then like a compaq it shit on me again this time it's the motherboard,cpu and power supply.then two weeks later it shits on me again,and then comes back after two weeks from being fixed two days later same thing board and cpu.by now i'm pissed i goto bestbuy and said this is bullshit i do beleive i'v been sold a lemon.so finally after at least three times it went away for two weeks and went to there little useless shop in there store the guy behind the counter said ok will submit it as a lemon but we have to send it to our heedquarters and get the aproval before you can pick a computer out.i told my wife that if we get another excuse from them they will get a compaq through there picture window.           well sorry to here about your compaq i hear ya just reed your article and had to tell someone my side.              later
