researching my own problems with CompUSA.
I was
amazed to find the similarities between your problem and my own problem
with a Pager company called Procomm just 6 months ago in Dallas,TX.Procomm
went bankrupt and I think the company that bought them over and tried to
revive their business is Pagenet.
My story
is uncannilly similar:
I cancelled
my account with the pager service but was still receiving bills.Only difference
- I never authorised them to deduct from my card or bank automatically.I
used to pay by check only.
After
long hours on the phone with them,where they gave me similar stories,I
finally reached someone who confirmed that my account had indeed been closed
and that I would not receive anymore bills from them.I had the insight
to tape that call.
But the
bills still kept coming.
So one
day I called a senior manager,played out my earlier taped call to them
and threatened to sue.No bills have appeared since.
