Rapid Emergency Shelter Taskforce There is a relatively small percentage of people in every religion who worship hate. We who do not are among the REST. The tragic events of September 11, 2001 have served as a stark reminder that any one of us can suddenly find ourselves in need of a safe place to rest. In the wink of the eye, anyone can have their safe, secure home ripped from them. REST is a network of volunteers who are willing to provide emergency shelter to individuals who may be rendered homeless, living in a threatened zone, or the targets of hate crimes during times of national disaster or conflict. We are committed to
providing safe housing in
a compassionate environment to any victim or potential target of racial
hate crimes.
