Rules, Regulations, and other stuff you gotta know!

-Registration for the Spring Gathering 2008 CLOSES Monday, May 19, 2008  WE NO LONGER ALLOW REGISTRATION AT THE GATE.
-The Gathering will open to pre registered attendees only  Thursday, May 22, 2008  and close 4 p.m. Monday, May 26, 2008.

-Membership into the 2008 Spring Gathering of the Tribes costs $50.00 until May 1, 2008 and $60.00 after May 1, 2008 for adults.  Children 16 and under are admitted free.  Checks, Master card, Visa, precious metals, bolts of attractive cloth, black velvet paintings of the Last Supper (tastefully done), and bottles of Bailey's Irish Cream are accepted in payment. Pre-registration IS required.  The cut-off for Registration will be Monday, May 19, 2008
-Please Note!  Due to the fact that ALL the major expenses for the Gathering .... transportation, toilets, and trash removal have more than doubled in the last two years, we have had to both raise admission fees by $10.00  in 2006 and cut back on the number of Presenters.  Even though we donate the use of our campground for the Gathering, and ALL workers and Presenters are  are unpaid volunteers, the cost of putting on the Gathering still continues to rise.  We take the cost of the Gathering, divide it by the average number of attendees, and that is what we charge.  Since transportation fees, especially air fares have gone through the roof we had a choice between cutting back on speakers, or doubling the cost of attendance.  We have tried to find a balance that everyone can live with.
-No refunds.  We will, on a case by case basis, consider allowing a paid membership to be carried over to the next Gathering.

-Everyone requesting admittance must fill out a membership form and sign a waiver.  A valid picture ID must be presented at the gate. All minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.  All minors must have a membership form and waiver, signed by the parent or guardian.

-Everyone is requested to do a 2 hour work shift at some point during the event.  This is the main way we keep our costs down.  Each member is asked to sign up for one 2 hour work shift in registration, information, set up, clean up, lake watch, etc. Sign up sheets for the different work shift slots will be available at registration.  Sign up early to get you favored time slot and area. If you do not wish to sign up for a workshift, registration costs an additional $10.00.
-This Gathering will be semi-clothing optional.  No exposed genitalia.  Bring your fig leaves folks, there will be many children present.   Women being equal to men may go topless in the event area.  Unfortunately. women are required by law to cover their breasts in the public area of the campground.
- Drinking in MODERATION is allowed.  Obnoxious drunks will be locked in a port-o let until they sober up, then ejected from the event.
-Everyone is responsible for their own food, tents, trash collection, pets, children, attitudes and actions.

**** . While we do not wish to cause undue alarm, everyone should be aware that rabid animals are a very real threat on the East Coast! If a wild animal does not run from a human, it is most likely NOT a magical messenger, but in fact Rabid! If you encounter any wild animals that appear unafraid, and even friendly towards humans DO NOT APPROACH THEM! Leave the area immediately and notify a staff member of the encounter! Obviously, if you come across an animal that appears vicious and is frothing at the mouth, do the same ****
