Green Egg, A Journal of
the Awakening Earth, has been dealt a devastating financial blow by
the failure of one of its largest distributors, Fine Print. Several months
ago Fine Print went bankrupt owing Green Egg a substantial amount
of money. It is unlikely that Green Egg will recover much,
if any, of this lost revenue.
Green Egg, like most
independent presses, survives hand to mouth. They have no moneys laid aside
to buffer the effects of such a major setback. A catastrophe like this
would break a lesser magazine. Not this ovoid gem in the crown of Pagan
periodicals however. The hard boiled, seasoned staff of Green
Egg has scrambled to make up for the shortfall in the budget, working
long hours, often for free, They have refused to crack under the pressure
of rising expenses and being deviled by creditors. Instead they have hatched
a plan designed to get them back on their feet. The proceeds from a subscription
drive and an Internet appeal for donations have enabled them to catch up
on a few bills and they have even managed to shell out enough to get their
laser printer back on line.
Their troubles are far from
over, but they are looking at the sunny side and hoping for the best.
It sounds over easy to say
that even a few dollars would help them out, but its true.
We have poached their subscription rate chart off their Web SIte and pasted it below for your convenience.

Green Egg is a vital source
of information to the Pagan Community. Knowledge must flow from Pagan
to Pagan as blood flows from heart to brain if we are to survive as a People.
We cannot afford to let even one Pagan voice be silenced, and that is no
yoke.
